Activities: Rock Climbing, Road Biking, Trail Running, and Dancing
After my physical therapist moved on from his practice, I was looking for a new physio/chiropractor to facilitate the rehabilitation of a PCL sprain in my right knee. Since the injury I have been experiencing instability, sharp pain, aching, and generally not being able to enjoy or perform the activities I love.
Though physical therapy was very helpful, it only got me to a point where I could function at a normal level, however, I still experienced instability, aching, and noticed straining of other muscle groups and my healthier leg due to compensation.
Since working with Dr. Lane Tran, we have begun much more advanced physical rehabilitation of my neural pathways through coordination and stability training, continuation of Blood Flow Restriction (BRF) training, increasing my left-right balance, and education on body mechanics. I am now at a point where I can begin light dynamic movement without too much strain along with low mileage and intensity cycling and running.
Currently, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, I have switched my sessions over to teleconferencing. Though I do not have access to a lot of the same equipment, such as BFR bands, we are able to progress my healing through Dr. Tran’s clear communication, patience, and tailored programming of my rehabilitation regimen.
